Internship
Program
Longmont
Children and Youth Resources has two avenues available for graduate
students who wish to work with youth and their families; a practicum/field
placement and an Internship Program.
In
the practicum/field placement students will gain experience in working with
high-risk youth populations, learning the basics of case management and counseling
and working with a community-based youth service team.
In
the 700-800 hour Internship Program students will begin to practice individual,
family and group therapy. On site supervision, guidance and ongoing clinical
trainings are provided. Students will also be involved in all aspects of the
agency including helping to create and implement agency policy, team wide
trainings and cross training with other city programs.
