Longmont Youth Council Grants, Children and Youth Resources Division

Have you ever wanted to make a difference but didn’t know where to start, or have a great idea and simply didn’t have money to do it. This is a perfect opportunity. Longmont Youth Council is currently accepting grant applications. By filling out an application, the interested youth will be asked to present his/her project plan to the grant subcommittee of LYC. At that time we can make a decision of whether the project meets our requirements, such as being youth based. We are able to grant amounts of up to 500 dollars and we look forward to financing projects.

How Youth can apply for grants . . . Any school-age youth can apply for a grant by meeting these requirements:

• The project must be planned and carried out by school aged youth
• The project must improve or benefit the community in some way
• Must have a least one adult supporter
• Must take a presentation to the grant subcommittee of LYC
