If your children attend to the St. Vrain Valley School District, check out our after-school program. Your child can join us every afternoon, Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 7:00pm.
"The Zone" is located in the basement of the Children and Youth Resources building at 1050 Lashley Street. It is a free referral based program for youth between 8th & 12th grade are enrolled in the St. Vrain Valley School District.
We offer quality after school programming, services and activities for school age youth. Staff engages youth in project based learning activities that will enhance their academic, cultural, social skills and competencies. Our activities encourage involvement, build leadership skills, social skills, problem solving skills, communication and incorporate physical activity, expression through the arts, dance/movement, written/spoken word and exploration of new interests.
Creative Arts (Mondays)
This program is dedicated to revealing the arts within. We create art in all different forms and aspects. We’ll be working in mediums from graffiti to paint to sculpture.
Girls’ Hip Hop Dance (Tuesdays)
We’re looking for girls that like to dance, want to learn or just practice a hip hop routine. These classes will eventually turn into a dance crew and take their performances to venues throughout the community.
Break– Dance (Wednesdays)
This day is dedicated to people who are willing to commit to break– dancing whether they’re beginners or semi-pro’s. All are welcome who want to train. This group of breakers will eventually lead and give community-wide performances.
Teen Group (Thursdays)
We offer a forum for boys and girls who want to discuss social or personal issues and would rather talk to teen peers than adult.
Anything Goes ( Fridays)
This day we’ll rotate activities. We’ll have open mic night, movie night & dance night.
