Curbside Tree Limb Collection, Annual Programs, Recycling

There is one city-wide limb collection every year.

2010 Schedule

Limbs must be cut up into lengths no longer than six feet and no limb may be larger than six inches in diameter and placed into bundles no larger than three feet in diameter. The limbs must be placed in the gutter off of the sidewalk and they must be placed no closer than two feet from any fence, building or any obstacle that would interfere with the pickup of the pile by the loader.

No leaves, trash or other debris will be accepted on a limb collection.

Residents may also take limbs and leaves to the Tree Limb Diversion Center, 140 Martin Street, between 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday thru Saturday. They may be dropped off at no charge if you have your City of Longmont residential utility bill showing you are a solid waste customer. Be prepared to show identification to match the utility bill if requested. The service is available for free only to city residents paying the waste management fee.

Additionally, the City of Longmont offers curbside tree limb and branch collection year around by appointment at no extra charge to residents who are subscribed to trash/recycle collection. This service must be scheduled in advance with the Support Team at 303-651-8416. Limbs are taken to the Tree Limb Diversion Center and ground into mulch that is available back to residents at no extra charge.

Public Works Street Operations will pick up limbs and branches for residents at no charge on a reservation basis.
