The City of Longmont provides weekly trash collection and disposal services to all single-family and many multi-family homes. Residential customers may choose between two levels of collection service. Customers can choose the full container (96 gallons of trash per week) or the smaller volume buster level of service (up to 48 gallons of trash per week). The monthly rate is $14.28 for full container collection and $11.27 for volume buster service, this includes a $2.96 waste management fee.
Lost or damaged containers may be reported to Public Works Operations at 303-651-8416 for repair or replacement. Customers living in multi-family residences are provided with either a dumpster or wheeled containers.

In response to the needs of our residents, our dedication to preserving our environment, and to help protect your identity, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding monthly document shredding events at the City of Longmont Recycle Center throughout 2010!
Shredded material is recyclable, but not accepted in your curbside single-stream recycling cart.
These events let Longmont residents conveniently recycle sensitive documents in a manner that maintains efficient operation of the processing center.
