   <title>Oligrachy Ditch Flows to Increase</title>

   <description>After Monday, May 6, the flows in the Oligarchy Ditch will be high and will range between 50 and 70 cubic feet per second so it can fill Union Reservoir. Residents are asked to be aware of conditions in the Oligarchy Ditch and be especially careful with children and pets around the ditch in the coming weeks. In addition, the pedestrian underpasses along the greenway could be impacted.    <description>The City of Longmont’s first civic hackathon was a great success with eight apps created over the two-and-a-half-day event. The top prize, awarded by major sponsor Western Digital, went to 14-year-old Jackson Roberts for his app that will aggregate event calendars from several local websites into a single Longmont event calendar. Other winning apps included one to notify residents by email when it’s their trash and recycling collection day and one to help firefighters locate all hydrants near the scene of a fire.    <description>The Longmont Museum is holding a competition for original LEGO artwork. LEGO enthusiasts of all ages are invited to enter in one of four age categories to compete for prizes. Winning works will be displayed in special museum cases at the Longmont Public Library, the Longmont Senior Center and the Longmont Civic Center. Every participant will receive one free admission to the Longmont Museum’s summer LEGO exhibit.
