Crafter at Discovery District
This is a high energy, dynamic position that facilitates art-making and craft projects, primarily with children. Tasks include: encouraging the artists, demonstrating how to do a craft, replenishing art supplies, and keeping the space orderly. (openings: Saturday)

Your smiling face provides a warm welcome to visitors as they come to the festival site. Tasks include: welcoming guests, provide festival guides and information, answer questions, provide directions, share ideas about what to see or do at the festival, and seeking feedback about the day. (openings: Friday night and Saturday)
New this year. We will have beer sales in the prairie area. We need volunteers at the gates to remind people to keep beer in the fenced in area. (openings: Friday night and Saturday)
This is a good position for people that like to multi-task because it incorporates everything from sales to customer relations. Tasks may include: selling event merchandise, restocking merchandise, and answering some event questions. (openings: Friday night and Saturday)
Prairie Breakfast Helper
Help people start their day with a tasty breakfast and a smile! Tasks may include: welcoming people, serving food, pouring drinks, stocking utensils, or scooping butter. (openings: Saturday morning)
River Run Early Packet Pickup
Runners can pick up their packets at the Roger’s Grove pavilion the evening before the race – and we’d like to have your help. Tasks may include: checking names off a list, giving out T-shirts and bibs, folding shirts, separating T-shirt sizes and separating shirts for the next day.
River Run Registration
This position goes from calm to high energy as runners come to register or pick up their packets. Then help pack up shirts and materials after the race starts. Tasks may include: handing out T-shirts, handing out day-of-packets, or processing day-of registrations. (openings: Saturday morning)
River Run Water Station at the Sundial
This position helps keep runners and walkers healthy and happy at the midpoint. Tasks include: encouraging participants, pouring water, handing out water, and cleaning up tossed cups. (openings: Saturday morning)
River Run Water Station at the Finish Line
This position is a welcome sight for most runners at the end of the race – they finally get the rest, relax, and enjoy a cool drink of water. Tasks include: congratulating participants, handing out water bottles, giving directions to the breakfast area, and opening bottles for those that ask for help. (openings: Saturday morning)
River Run Course Marshall
There are 2 possible locations for this position. The first is at the turn from Boston Avenue on to the trail. This location directs runners and keeps traffic from entering the course. The second location is at the foot bridge. This location is important to keep runners moving in the correct direction – first towards the sundial and then towards the mosaic kestral and finish line. (openings: Saturday morning)
This position is well-liked by festival guests - you give them a free bottle of cool water! Tasks include: filling some bottles, have empty ones available for those that want to fill their own, and keeping the space orderly. (openings: Friday night and Saturday)
