Who can volunteer?
Everyone is welcome to volunteer!  Families, friends, seniors, adults, teenagers, anyone!   This is a great opportunity for High School students who are trying to earn volunteer hours as well!  The only exception is that we ask that an ‘adult’ (someone 16 or older) volunteer with youth 14 and under.

What do I say to those racers?
Quite simple really, just cheer, and if you have a cow bell, bring it and ring it! Or use these common phrases: "Keep running!  You are doing GREAT! Turn left here! You're almost to the top of that hill!  It's all downhill from here!"

What do I receive for volunteering?
Besides the satisfaction of giving back to your community by motivating and keeping the racers safe; you will receive an event long sleeve tee-shirt and breakfast snacks!

Important Information for the 39th Annual Longmont Turkey Trot

When is packet pick-up?

Friday, Nov 8, 4-6:30pm at Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Rd, Longmont
Saturday, Nov 9, 7-8:30am at Altona Middle School,4600 Clover Basin Dr, Longmont

I ordered the wrong t-shirt size! Can I exchange it?

T-shirt sizes are ordered based on pre-registration and last year’s race. T-shirt exchanges must be done AFTER the race in the cafeteria as size availability permits. Race shirts are only guaranteed for racers who pre-register.

How does chip timing work?

A chip is embedded within the bib itself - easy! Your time is automatically logged as you cross the finish line.

Please note: It is gun-start race. Your time will start when the gun goes off, not when you cross the starting line.

Where do I pin my bib?

Pin your bib to the FRONT of your shirt/jacket/racing belt so that it is easily visible as you cross the finish line.

Please pin the bib onto the FRONT of the shirt. If you are running with a jacket on, please make sure your bib is visible as you cross the finish line.

Can I use headphones on the course? Bring my dog? Stroller my child?

Is there water on the course?

Water stations are available on the course and at the finish line. Additional drinking fountains are available in the school before and after the race. Water and post-race beverages will be available for racers at the post-race meal.

What happens after the race?

Spectators and Racers both are invited to visit the vendors at the vendor village. Racers are invited to partake in a complimentary post-race meal courtesy of Outback Steakhouse and beverage courtesy of Longmont Dairy in the commons area. As the cost is included with the registration fee, bibs will be required to take advantage of the post-race meal.

What happens if I place? Must I be present to collect my prize?

Prizes will be awarded shortly after the conclusion of the races and winners must be present to collect their award. We regret that prizes are not available for early pick-up by individuals before the formal awards ceremony. The prizes for second and third place are edible and as such, unclaimed prizes will be given to a charity at the conclusion of the event. First prize is a gift certificate and will be retained and available for pick-up at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine St, for a week after the event. Unclaimed gift certificates will be donated to a local charity.
