The Mud Hen 5K transitions to Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley

Nine years ago, the Mud Hen 5K was started to introduce the public to the unique trail system that encircled Lake McIntosh.

Now there are quite a few 5K races that utilize the trail around Lake McIntosh and the intention - to establish the trail in the mind of the community -- has been achieved. Thank you to everyone who has assisted with this fun event over the years. Longmont Recreation Services looks forward to the new opportunities it affords them to pursue in its stead.

Thankfully, Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley have stepped forward to continue the Mud Hen 5K in the community effective 2013! In 2014, the date will be Saturday, April 26, at 10am- hope to see you there!!!

Registration for 2014 is now open!
