Longmont Recreation Services offers a variety of outdoor program opportunities throughout the year. Occasionally changes are made to programs after the brochure goes to print. Click here to see current class notices.

Unpaid College Internships - Longmont Recreation Services offers a limited number of unpaid recreation internships for individuals who need internship college credit towards a degree in the recreation field.

Canoe Trips – Longmont Recreation Services contracts to provide a variety of canoe trips over the course of the summer.

 

Climbing Trips- Adult Climbing for February 20, 2010 has been cancelled due to low enrollment.

Various ages, youth to adult. Adult Climbing for ages 18 and up.

Guided Fly Fishing – Longmont Recreation Services contracts with Estes Park Mountain Shop to provide ½ day and full day Guided Fly Fishing Trips for individuals 14 years and older.

Hunter Safety Classes – Longmont Recreation Services hosts both fall and spring Hunter Safety Classes for individuals seeking a Hunter Education Card.

Kayaking – Longmont Recreation Services hosts Indoor pool Open kayak November through April at Centennial Pool. Summer kayaking courses are available at Union Reservoir.

Longmont Classic Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament – Longmont Recreation Services’ Longmont Classic Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament offers play for both juniors and adults.

Rumble at the Ranch Skateboard Competition - Longmont Recreation Services presents the Rumble at the Ranch Skateboard Contest for skate boarders of all ages and experience levels.

Ski and Snowboard Trip - Pricing includes lift ticket, round trip transportation, adult chaperones and fun! Rental gear is available for a listed additional cost. Youth 11 and under are welcon to join if a participating adult accompanies them. Pricing for adults is only $10.00 more than listed ticket price. All trips meet and depart from the St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave. No lessons available for these trips. Already have a lift ticket? Call

Registration Deadline: Friday, April 9 at 5:00pm. We need 9 for this trip to go.

Fee with gear: Youth: $75.00 resident/$93.00 non-resident

Adult: $85.00 resident/$103.75 non-resident

Fee No Gear: Youth: $50.00 resident/$62.50 non-resident

Adult: $60.00 resident/$72.50 non-resident

Tree Climbing – Contracting with Dances with Branches, Longmont Recreation Services offers introductory Tree Climbing lessons for ages 7 years to adult.
Day/Times: Saturday, 12:30pm-3pm

Dates: April 10 and May 8, 2010.
