Land Fitness Classes , Longmont Recreation Services

Fitness Equipment use at some of Longmont Recreation Services' land fitness classesThe City of Longmont Recreation Services offers land fitness and aerobic classes and programs at three sites year-round: the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Rd; the St Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave; and Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine St.

Drop-In land fitness and aerobic classes are included with the general admission fee in most cases: exceptions are noted with $$ on the schedule. Yoga classes have a different fee.

Specialty Land Fitness Programs

Tae Kwon Do for Youth and Adults

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that offers physical fitness, improved self confidence, and more. Youth ages 7 to 15 learn how to channel energy in positive ways, focus and achieve goals, stay safe, and build confidence. Adults learn self defense techniques and traditional movements. All Levels. Free uniform. Taught by 3rd-degree Black Belt John Lynn.

Not sure if you want to commit to a monthly program? We accept drop-in students so you can see it for yourself! Drop-in fees $8 per class. Call Longmont Martial Arts Academy, (303) 684-5846 to reserve a drop-in spot and let the Instructor know you are coming.

Youth Class: M/W, 4:15-5:15pm & Fri, 6:30-7:30pm, $40 monthly fee res/ $50 non-res, $8 drop-in
Adult Class: M/W, 8-9pm & Fri, 6:30-7:30pm, $50 monthly fee/ $62.50 non-res, $8 drop-in

Aikido For Adults
Aikido is a non-violent martial budo of Japanese origin with the basic philosophy of stopping conflict before it occurs and building a peaceful world. Aikido Shugenkai training is non-competitive and fosters a cooperative and supportive attitude. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. No shoes, socks, or shorts are allowed. Classes are ongoing and students may join at any time. Instructor: Shugenkai Colorado. For ages 13+
