County Line Road Improvements, Phase 2
-
Project design work for Phase 2 of the County Line Road Improvement Project is nearly complete. Phase 2 will widen County Line Road (also known as Weld County Road 1), from just south of the Great Western Railroad crossing to about a ¼ mile north of 9th Avenue. Roadway improvements will include the addition of two travel lanes in each direction, on-street bicycle lanes, left and right turn lanes along with the installation of a traffic signal system at the intersection of 9th Avenue and County Line Road. Construction for the roadway portion of the project is anticipated to start during early summer of this year.
Current construction along the east side of County Line Road is related to irrigation improvements and Oligarchy Ditch modifications necessary to widen County Line Road. The construction of these water supply improvements need to be completed prior to the peak water demand of summer.
