Over the years, many projects have been undertaken in the downtown area to improve the economic vitality and the pedestrian experience. Recently within the city as well as across the country, downtown alleys have been identified as potential areas to further develop multi-modal transportation as well as provide new business opportunities for downtown properties.

June 17, 2010 - Alley Project Update - The design consultants have been gathering existing alley information including electrical services, parking lot configurations, breezeway details and drainage patterns. The design charette will be held June 30, 2010 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
April 26, 2010 - Project Overview - To address these issues the Public Works & Natural Resources Department in coordination with the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) is underway with a Capital Improvement Project to improve the downtown alleys.
April 26, 2010- Weekly Updates - This site includes a calendar of events, an on-line survey, an area to provide comments/suggestions as well as a “What’s New” area that provides updates for weekly activities.
