TRAFFIC ADVISORY

State highway 66 in Longmont has a temporary traffic realignment for paving project. Colorado Department of Transportation placed State Highway 66 between US 36 and US 287 in a temporary alignment as part of a rotomilling and paving project. The realignment placed both eastbound and westbound traffic in the eastbound lanes with only one lane open in each direction. For weekly lane closure information, visit http://www.dot.state.co.us/TravelInfo/CurrentCond/index.cfm and click on “North/Northeast Colorado.” The entire project will be complete by the end of September 2009.

November 2009 - January 2010 Waterline Rehabilitation to Price Park Reservoirs – The City of Longmont has contracted with BT Construction, Inc. to install a control vault and valves on two water transmission mains to improve operation and monitoring of the lines. The work at Purdue Drive has been slowed by the recent cold weather. The street should be cleaned and paved before Christmas. The contractor will begin installation of the control vault on the north side of 17th Avenue east of Airport Road after the work in Purdue Drive is completed. Final landscape restoration along 17th Avenue will be completed in the spring. Traffic delays are anticipated during construction and motorists will be encouraged to use alternate routes where possible. A pedestrian detour will be maintained along the north side of 17th Avenue during construction. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact Jon Robb at (303) 651-8367.
