Traffic Safety Class
This traffic safety program originated in April 2002. The class curriculum
was recognized as a problem solving program for the City of Longmont. Instructors
are accident re-constructionists and have more than 20 years combined in law
enforcement.
They remain actively involved in community programs with the City of Longmont
which include:
Driver Education,
Traffic Safety Awareness for City employees,
Student Police Academy,
and R.A.D.(Responsible Adult Drivers)
The Goal and Purpose:
The course objective is to change the driving behavior of drivers who have
committed a traffic related violation. Motor Vehicle accidents are the leading
cause of death for drivers ages 16 - 25.
Course Description:
Education in the following areas:
Common Causes of Accidents,
Vehicle Dynamics,
Colorado Traffic Laws,
Defensive Driving Techniques,
Alcohol and Driving,
Road Rage and Aggressive Driving.
* Please note: Only those issued with a Longmont
Municipal Court Summons can apply.

that class dates are subject to change. You will NOT receive a confirmation unless a class date does change, then you will
be contacted by a Traffic Safety Class Instructor.
