Out Planning Kit for your Longmont neighborhood!
National Night Out (NNO) is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, and send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and watching out for each other.
Neighborhood Watch programs help neighbors work together as a community -- neighbor looking out for neighbor -- to make the quality of life better and to alleviate crime. NNO can be part of ongoing Neighborhood Watch activities or even a great way to get a Neighborhood Watch Program started. National Night Out can be as simple as bringing your lawn chairs out front and visiting with neighbors. Lemonade is optional!
National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and locally co-sponsored by the Longmont Police Department.
Please contact the Police Programs Coordinator at 303 - 774 - 4440 to get a National Night Out kit
or to learn how to start your own Neighborhood Watch.
