Choices of our Lives (C.O.O.L.)

C.O.O.L. Logo in SpanishC.O.O.L is an eight week drug resistance and bully prevention program presented by School Resource Officers (SRO's) to students in the 5th grade. The program helps to introduce several concepts that are later discussed in the "PROJECT ALERT" classes for middle schools.

Topics, among others, include C.O.O.L. vocabulary words, Drug Fact Sheet info, $$$ Up In Smoke, Role Models, and C.O.O.L. Choices.

C.O.O.L. Logo in EnglishThe curriculum was specifically developed for the St. Vrain Valley School District by two police officers from the Longmont Police Department and several fifth grade teachers. C.O.O.L replaced the former drug resistance curriculum, known as D.A.R.E.
