Multi-Modal Transportation Plan identifies specific transportation facility and service investments that will be made by the city over the next 20 years The Multi-modal Plan addresses four primary transportation modes: pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and automobile.

View the RTD Final Service Changes - January 2013
After receiving feedback and comments through a Public Process conducted by the City of Longmont, the routings for Routes 323, 324, 326 and 327 will change as of January 6, 2013. Routes 323 and 324 will still provide service to Twin Peaks Mall, however they will no longer be providing service onto the Mall property, as they currently do. Route 326 will change to providing north/southbound service on the east-side of Main Street while Route 327 will be providing north/southbound service on the west-side of Main Street.

FasTracks Project
The FasTracks plan includes rapid transit (commuter- or light-rail) in six corridors throughout the Denver Region. One of the corridors includes US-36 from Denver to Boulder and the Diagonal Highway (SH-119) from Boulder to Longmont. FasTracks includes a commuter-rail connection from Denver through Boulder to Longmont via the existing Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad line.

Alternative Modes of Transportation
Developing
current and future bikeway routing throughout the City through the Alternative
Modes Map (for existing bicycle routes and the
Bikeways Map - contact the Public Works and Natural Resources for a free bike map). The City also works with a citizen group, Bicycle
Longmont, to help coordinate planning and maintenance of the bicycle system
in the City.
