Alternative Modes of Transportation

Developing current and future bikeway routing throughout the City through the Alternative Modes Map (for existing bicycle routes and the Bikeways Map - contact the Public Works and Natural Resources for a free bike map). The City also works with a citizen group, Bicycle Longmont, to help coordinate planning and maintenance of the bicycle system in the City.

Go to the City of Longmont's Bicycling page for maps and other information.

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies help better utilize the roadway system so fewer tax dollars are spent on road building.
