City of Longmont park system consists of:
- Neighborhood Parks totaling 190 acres, which are geared toward
neighborhood use with playgrounds and some informal playing fields and sport
courts, include Affolter,
Alta, Blue Skies, Carr,
Collyer, Dawson,
Flanders, Hover,
Kanemoto, Kensington,
Lanyon, Left
Hand, Loomiller,
Pratt, Price, Raber,
Rothrock Dell,
Rough & Ready, Spangler,
Stephen Day Park, Thompson,
Valley, Willow
Farm
- Community Parks totaling 229 acres; serve the entire community
and typically have sport fields and more active recreational opportunities;
such as Clark Centennial, Garden Acres, Quail Campus, Roosevelt,
Sandstone Ranch
- District Parks totaling 1496 acres, focus
on the natural environment and attributes, tending toward more passive recreation; serve beyond the community: Golden Ponds, Izaak Walton Pond, Jim Hamm Nature Area, McCall Lake, McIntosh
Lake, Roger's Grove, Sandstone Ranch, Union
Reservoir
- Open Space totaling 1006 acres.
- Greenways
