City Council Direction - Preferred Trail Alignment
The preferred trail alignment was presented to City Council on April 16, 2013. A link to the meeting minutes will be provided when they are available. City Council directed staff to re-design the trail as an out-and-back/partial trail alignment on the west and south sides of the reservoir, with no trail recommended on the north and east sides due to private property, environmental and agricultural impacts. Implementation and construction of the partial trail alignment will be prioritized among other projects throughout the City and will be considered for funding as part of the Capital Improvement Program, but is not currently funded for construction.
Below are links to the Preferred Trail Alignment as presented to City Council. The plan will be updated to reflect the out-and-back/partial alignment recommended by City Council and will be posted when available.

(12/6/12) Meeting #5 - Trail Alternatives
Trail alignment alternatives for the Union Reservoir Trail were presented at a public workshop on December 6th. Below are links to the trail alignment maps and corresponding opportunities and constraints pertaining to alignments in each of the 4 quadrants of the map. The overall map is provided as well, however, the quadrant maps provide a more detailed view of the proposed alignments in each quadrant. Please note that the trail alignment alternatives are depicted in segments. The ultimate trail alignment could be any combination of the segments shown, resulting in a full loop or any portion of the loop.

Reservoir Enlargement Study
The Union Reservoir Enlargement Study is a separate project but the future shoreline is reflected in the Recreational Master Plan. This study estimates an increased surface area of the reservoir by approximately 26% - 33% depending on final configuration of the enlargement. More information on the Enlargement Study can be found here:
