Adopt
A Park/ Friends of the Greenway
Longmont's Adopt-a-Park and Friends of the Greenway Program invites community
assistance to help maintain and beautify our parks and Greenways. Through
the efforts of individuals and groups, our parks will continue to be widely
enjoyed areas for citizens and visitors alike.
| Who? |
Any individual, family, business or organization
can adopt a Park area or Greenway segment. |

What? |
Trash & Debris pick-up for Parks crew disposal.
Athletic facilities upkeep - sweeping bleachers, dugout, etc.
Playground area upkeep and/ or sweeping.
Clean up around pond areas (i.e. Golden Ponds, Izaak Walton, Loomiller,
etc.) |
| Where? |
Choose a Park, primary Greenway trail
or a section of the St. Vrain Greenway corridor to adopt, or let our Parks
& Forestry staff will help you find one. |
| Why? |
Help discourage vandalism and littering by being visible
on a regular basis.
Feel a sense of community pride by making Longmont more beautiful.
Have fun! |
| When? |
Early mornings, Saturday or Sunday afternoons
- or maybe just an hour or two on a nice evening. Anytime is fine with
us. The minimum requirement is at least one site visit every month. The Adopt A Park / Friends of the Greenway commitment
is for one year. |
