Construction Set to Resume at Intersection of SH66 and County Line Road
April 17, 2014 - Construction is scheduled to restart on Monday, April 21 at the intersection of State Highway 66 and East County Line Road.
Following flood recovery efforts last year and a winter shutdown, DeFalco Construction Company and the City of Longmont are planning to complete the intersection improvements that began last summer. Construction is anticipated to be completed in early June 2014, weather permitting.
This phase of construction will include replacing the existing traffic signal with an improved pole/mast arm system, widening both roads to accommodate additional turn lanes, and adding paved shoulders for improved bicycle safety.
SH66 and East County Line Road are expected to remain open to all traffic, including cyclists, for the duration of the project. However, travelers should expect variable road surfaces, lane closures, and potential delays until construction is complete. Some daytime lane closures are anticipated. Please exercise caution when traveling through or around the construction zone.
If you have questions or concerns, please call the DeFalco Construction Public Information Office at (303) 667-9580 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
