MARCH 23, 2012 - Longmont Police and Fire have confirmed that two planes have crashed in Longmont City limits this morning. Although they cannot confirm if the two crashes are related and cannot confirm at this time if there are any fatalities, both sites are secure and NTSB is en route. One crash is close to Walmart Supercenter at Hightway 119 and County Line Road the other is near Vance Brand Airport property. At this time, Airport Road is closed and likely County Line Road is also closed. Information will be posted on the City's homepage, or go to Facebook at www.facebook.com/#!/LongmontFirePoliceOEM.
02:49pm Update: Airport Road is likely to be reopened this afternoon with County Line Road remaining closed until sometime on Saturday, March 24th.
04:17pm Update: Airport Road is now open and County Line Road will remain closed until at least Saturday, March 24 from Quicksilver Road to Great Western Drive.
