JANUARY 13, 2012 - The Longmont City Council is interviewing six City Manager finalists on January 20. Finalists will arrive in Longmont on Wednesday, January 18 and will begin the process on the January 19 with a tour, meeting various staff and community members throughout the day and ending with a community forum from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Longmont City Council Chambers, 350 Kimbark Street. Members of the public are invited to ask questions of the candidates. On January 20, City Council members will interview the finalists who will also meet with additional members of the community and City employees. After the interviews, the City Council will give direction to the hiring consultant, Bob Slavin at an executive session on January 24 regarding contract negotiations. The successful candidate will be announced shortly after the executive session meeting.
