Clark Centennial Skate Park Equipment Removal

JUNE 14, 2012 - In April, the skate park at Clark Centennial was closed due to deteriorating equipment. Since the closure, children have been climbing the fence to access the skate park. To ensure the public’s safety, the skate park equipment at Clark Centennial Park is being removed from the site on June 14, until the City receives the final report from the consultant regarding options for rehabilitation or replacement of the skate park equipment.

An assessment of the skate parks at Clark Centennial Park and Quail Campus was conducted by a professional skate park design firm to assist with recommendations regarding the rehabilitation of the skate parks. Potential viable skate park components from Clark Centennial Park will be retained by the City until a determination is made on the best course of action for rehabilitation or replacement. During the closure period, skaters are encouraged to visit other skate parks at Sandstone Ranch, Stephen Day Park, Blue Skies Park and Rough and Ready Park.

If you have any questions regarding the skate park closures, please contact the City at 303-651-8416. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
