MARCH 29, 2011 - Xcel Energy announced today a section of natural gas pipeline is being repaired in Boulder County along Rogers Road, east of Airport Road, between Hover Street and Airport Road. The repairs are not expected to cause any detours, in fact at least one lane will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Work will stop at dusk but flaggers will remain onsite for 24-hours until the work is completed in the next day or two (Wednesday or Thursday).
Xcel crews have excavated a portion of the road and are applying a coating the the pipeline to enhance its structural integrity.
This portion of the county is often identified as being located within Longmont city limits but it is actually land located in Boulder County.
