Students Invited to Create Google Video and Win an iPad
MARCH 17, 2010 - St. Vrain Valley School District, City of Longmont and RidgeviewTel (Longmont's Wi-Fi provider) have teamed up to provide students an opportunity to create a YouTube video. Students are asked to produce a video highlighting why Google should pick the city of Longmont to build an ultra-high speed broadband network.
The contest is open to all students living in the SVVSD, including private schools and home schools. The video should be between 2 to 3 minutes and provide reasons why Longmont is an ideal candidate for Google to build its network. Longmont will select the best 5 to 10 video finalists and post them on the city’s YouTube channel. One winning video will be awarded a new iPad, courtesy of RidgeviewTel. Deadline for the contest is March 24 at 5 p.m.
