July 20, 2010 - Union Reservoir will be closed to all users from 6am, Friday, July 30, through 9pm, Sunday, August 1, for the set up, event, and tear down of Heavenfest.

Heaven Fest is a Christian music festival to be held at Union Reservoir on Saturday, July 31, 2010. The event is expected to attract more than 30,000 people. It is likely that there will be heavy traffic on Highway 119 east of County Line Road, especially between noon and 5 pm and between 8 pm and midnight.

During July 30-Aug 1, there will be no activities available at Union Reservoir outside of those designated for Heavenfest attendees. Open Water Swims on Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31, morning have been cancelled. The swim beach will be closed to the general public. The dog beach is closed. There will be no fishing, boating, or entry into Union Reservoir by Union Reservoir Pass holders. The Union Sailing Club will not have access to the Reservoir. All camping for the weekend of July 30-Aug 1 will be coordinated by Heavenfest: Union Reservoir's general camping spots are unavailable during the event weekend.
