August 26, 2010 - Beginning the week of August 30 the Lake McIntosh Reservoir Company will be examining the outlet structure, located on the east end of the reservoir (Harvard Street, North of 17th Ave.). During a recent inspection of the facility the Reservoir Company discovered that the outlet gates are not working as designed and the gates are in need of repair. The inspection of the gates will require releases of water which will result in a lowering of the water level which in turn could impact the recreational activities currently permitted on the Reservoir surface. Recreational activities on the bike path around the reservoir should not be impacted. It is the intention of the Reservoir Company to resolve this situation as soon as possible and to minimize impacts to the public.
