Portion Of Hover Road to Close for Construction
MARCH 25, 2010 - A portion of Hover Road will close for several months to replace a bridge.
The replacement of the aging Hover Road and Lefthand Creek bridge structure is part of the six mile Longmont to Boulder trail project (the "LoBo Trail"). The replacement of the existing structure will include a grade separated pedestrian underpass that will connect the LoBo Regional Trail to Longmont’s Left Hand Creek Greenway Trail. Concrete Works of Colorado is under contract with Boulder County to construct this joint City/County project.
In order to safely and efficiently construct this project, Hover Road (95th Street) between Plateau Road and Pike Road will be closed to through traffic starting on Monday, April 12th. Hover Road (95th Street) is scheduled to re-open on Monday, June 21st.
A traffic detour route has been designed that reroutes traffic from the North onto Pike Road to US 287 (Main Street) to Niwot Road and back to Hover Road. Below is a map of the detour:
