September 21, 2009 - Beginning October 5, 2009 Utility Operations and Maintenance will begin the annual replacement of water meters. Water meters deteriorate with normal wear and tear during their life. The City has developed a program that replaces meters before problems may begin. There is no cost to the property owner.
The Utility Operations and Maintenance staff will place tags on the doors of homes that have meters inside their residences. The door tag will ask the homeowner to call Utility Operations and Maintenance at 303-651-8468 to make an appointment to have the meter replaced. The water meter must be accessible in order for the meter to be replaced. If homeowners do not know where the water meter is located, they can call 303-651-8468 for assistance in locating the meter.
