City Seeks Funding Requests from Human Service Agencies

May 13, 2009 - The City of Longmont Housing and Human Services Advisory Board is seeking requests for proposals from non-profit, non-sectarian human service agencies interested in receiving 2010 City of Longmont funding.

The Longmont Housing and Human Services Advisory Board will consider funding for human service agencies that offer programs to Longmont residents that provide immediate services for people in emergency or critical situations; enhance the community’s capacity to assist those in need, and ensuring that all residents have full access to services; provide education, prevention and treatment services/programs that sustain physical and mental well being; provide services/programs that promote and meet the developmental needs of children and youth; and provide services/programs that promote and maintain self-sufficiency for adults.

All agencies interested in requesting 2010 funding from the City of Longmont must complete a 2010 agency proposal form and a required training session to be held May 19, 2009.  New applicant agencies should immediately contact Karen Roney at 303-651-8633, or Sally Raney at 303-774-4339 to learn more about this training.

All proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009, to Karen Roney, Community Services Director, at the Civic Center Complex, 350 Kimbark Street, Longmont.  To receive the 2010 funding application packet, either by mail or e-mail (in Microsoft Word), or have any questions, please contact Sally Raney at 303-774-4339 or Karen Roney at 303-651-8633.  Address e-mail requests to: sally.raney@ci.longmont.co.us.
