May 21, 2009 - Gordon Pedrow, City Manager has selected Brad Power as the new Economic Development Director for the City of Longmont. Brad was one of 3 final candidates who were invited to participate in the assessment process that concluded earlier this month.
Brad comes to us from the City of Boulder and during his tenure with Boulder he served as Redevelopment Director, Executive Director for the Boulder Urban Renewal Authority, Planner and Researcher. He currently holds a Chair with the Urban Land Institute, serves on the boards of the American Institute of Certified Planners, University of Colorado Real Estate Council and International Council of Shopping Centers. He holds a BA and Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado. Brad will join the City on June 29, 2009.
