The City of Longmont is seeking a demographically representative group of Longmont residents to provide feedback on various City initiatives. If you are interested, please take two minutes to complete the online questionnaire at http://www.ci.longmont.co.us/survey. Free Shredding Event on Saturday

Recycle your personal documents safely and securely. Bring your boxed or bagged papers to the Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street between 9 am and 2 pm on Saturday, April 12. Please bring identification and a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill. This event is for residential documents only; no business materials will be accepted. Register for Summer Rec Programs on April 15

Registration for Longmont Recreation & Golf Services’ summer programs begins Tuesday, April 15, online and at all City of Longmont recreation facilities. Free Talk on Green Building Practices

Visit the Longmont Museum at 400 Quail Road from 7 to 8 pm on Thursday, April 17, for a free talk on Green Building Practices. Water Line Flushing Begins April 21

On April 21, the City will begin the annual flushing of water lines to keep water quality high and to ensure that fire hydrants are operational. You may notice low water pressure, discolored water or no water for short periods when flushing is taking place in your neighborhood. Please limit water use, and avoid using hot water when flushing is occurring in your immediate area. For the schedule and answers to frequently asked

Parking Patrol Volunteers Sought

The City of Longmont is seeking self-motivated, people-oriented, outgoing individuals for the Volunteer Parking Patrol. Volunteers patrol public and private property, in teams of two, to ensure the legal use of disability spaces through education and enforcement. Volunteering with this group is a fun and rewarding experience, and training is provided. Please contact Parking Enforcement by April 30 at 303-651-8658 or 303-774-4724.

Garden in a Box for Colorado's Climate

Planting season is close, and the City of Longmont and Center for ReSource Conservation have joined forces to bring you preplanned xeriscape gardens, all below retail costs. Choose from three gardens designed by local designers. Each garden includes a planting plan, up to 28 plants and helpful xeriscape gardening hints.
