Outdoor Emergency Warning System to be Tested on Monday
The City’s Outdoor Emergency Warning System (OEWS) is being tested at 10 am on Monday, April 7. The system is tested the first Monday of every month, April through August. Other than for testing, the system will be used only to notify the community when immediate action should be taken. If you hear the sirens and it isn’t the first Monday of the month at 10 am, seek shelter immediately and tune to local media for information.
Changes Coming to FLEX Service
FLEX, Northern Colorado’s regional bus route connecting Fort Collins, Loveland, Berthoud and Longmont with RTD connections to Denver and Boulder, will be making route changes beginning in May. The changes include moving the Fort Collins terminus to Transfort’s new South Transit Center. Riders who wish to continue into Fort Collins can transfer there, free of charge, to multiple local routes. To learn more about this and other changes, attend the FLEX open house from 4:30 to 7 pm on Monday, April 7, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. For more information visit http://www.ridetransfort.com.
Don't Miss the Spring Branch Collection
Longmont residents can enjoy free, curbside tree limb pick-up in April. Bundled limbs will be picked up at residences north of 9th Avenue April 7 – 11 and south of 9th Avenue April 14 - 18. Important: you must place your bundled tree limbs out at curbside by 7 am on the Monday of your scheduled collection week. Clean-Up Green-Up Begins Saturday
