RTD to Host Another Telephone Town Hall Meeting
RTD has scheduled another telephone town hall meeting for Thursday, June 27, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Some 50,000 residents in the northwest metro area will be called at random through an automated system and invited to participate in the public telephone forum. RTD and northwest area stakeholders held the telephone meeting last week to help the public learn about the Northwest Area Mobility Study’s goals and objectives, and provide an opportunity to ask questions and share comments, but an error in the published call-in phone number prevented some people from connecting to the meeting. Anyone can call in and join the meeting by dialing toll free 1-877-229-8493, and entering the ID code 19081.
Hard To Recycle Event This Saturday
The City’s Department of Public Works & Natural Resources will hold a Hard-to-Recycle Event for materials that are not accepted in curbside recycling from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 22, at the Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin Street. Materials accepted include computers, electronics, cell phones, Styrofoam and many others. There may be a fee for some items. Bring a copy of your current utility bill to show that you are a City customer. For more information call 303-651-8416.
