Child Safety Day is on Saturday, March 16
Join the Longmont Emergency Unit, New York Life, and the Child ID Program at a FREE Child Safety Day on Saturday, March 16, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Longmont Emergency Unit Station located at 663 17th Avenue. The goal of the program is to provide a link to helping children avoid serious or death related injuries. Child Safety Day provides an outlet and opportunity for the community to further educate themselves, connect with local agencies, and obtain information.
The Longmont Emergency Unit has provided service to the City of Longmont and Boulder County since 1957. LEU provides assistance to agencies that include dive rescue, rehabilitation support and equipment for long term events, traffic control and a variety of other services to assist the emergency service agencies of Boulder County. For more information visit www.leu-rescue.org.
Give Your Opinion on City's Next District Park
The public is invited to the third in a series of five public meetings to discuss the St. Vrain Greenway Phase 11 (Pavlakis District Park) from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 21, at the Sunset Campus Building, 7 South Sunset Street. You can review concept plans for park improvements and provide input on preferred amenities. If you can't make it to the meeting but still want to provide input, fill out the online survey at www.ci.longmont.co.us/parks/park_dev/svgphase11/index.htm#concept. This project is on a 58-acre site between Main and Martin streets and along the St. Vrain Creek. It will become Longmont’s next district park and trailhead to the St. Vrain Greenway trail system. For more information call 303-651-8448.
