Take a Break From Winter at the Museum

The Longmont Museum’s current special exhibit, AMP’D, is filled with hands-on fun for children ages 3 and up. Generate electricity, light up a mini-neighborhood, flip a six-foot-tall light switch, and try on real clothing and equipment used by electric lineworkers. Adults can walk down memory lane with a display of antique radios, televisions, toasters, and other rare and unusual electrical appliances. The Museum, located at 400 Quail Road, is open 9 am to 5 pm, Monday – Saturday, and 1 to 5 pm on Sunday. It will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For costs and more information call 303-651-8374 or visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/museum.

City Soliciting Input on the Union Reservoir Trail

Trail alignment alternatives for the Union Reservoir Trail were presented at a public workshop on December 6 and now the city would like your input on those options. Visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/parks/park_dev/unionreservoirtrail/index.htm to see the trail alignment alternatives. Your input is valuable as the project team works toward a recommendation. Please send your thoughts to Kathy Kron at kathy.kron@ci.longmont.co.us.
