Most City Offices Closed on Thanksgiving Day
Longmont city government observes the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 22. The following facilities are CLOSED: Civic Center, Service Center, Library, Senior Center, Museum, Youth Center, Development Services Center, Waste Diversion Center and all Recreation centers (see below for special classes). Thursday trash and recycling will be collected on Friday. For more information visit www.ci.longmont.co.us.

Thanksgiving Day Fitness Classes
Although the facilities are closed, you can still sneak in a calorie-burning workout before your Thanksgiving celebration. On Thursday, November 22, Centennial Pool will host special holiday facility hours from 7 to 11 am with Indoor Biking at 7:45 and Water Fitness at 9. The St. Vrain Memorial Building will host both Boot Camp and Cardio Sculpt classes from 7 to 8:30 am. Regular admission fees apply. All recreation facilities will have regular business hours on Wednesday and Friday, November 21 and 23. Call 303-651-8406 for more information.

Holiday Tree Lighting Next Friday
Help ring in the holiday season at the Downtown Longmont Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 pm on Friday, November 23, at 6th Avenue and Main

Holiday Parade Applications Due November 30
November 30 is the application deadline for the Longmont Lights Holiday Parade to be held on Saturday, December 8. Applications are available at

Donate Bicycles for Holiday Program
Bicycle Longmont is accepting new and used bicycles for its children’s holiday bicycle program. Drop off bikes at any Longmont fire station through Monday, December 10. Those needing a little extra attention will be repaired by Bicycle Longmont volunteers. If you have questions call 303-651-0917 or 303-709-6991.
