Sales and Use Tax Seminar for Business
If you’re thinking of starting your own business in Longmont and are unsure of what taxes your business must collect, let us help! You’re invited to attend a free sales and use tax seminar from noon to 1 pm on Wednesday, October 17, in the Finance Conference Room at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street. Work on Railroad Crossing to Close Road
The City and Burlington Northern Railroad will be closing Mountain View Avenue between Lashley Street and Collyer Street on Monday, October 22nd for replacement of the railroad crossing on that street. The road is anticipated to be reopened to traffic by Saturday, October 27, weather pending. You Belong on an Advisory Board
The Longmont City Council is recruiting to fill vacancies on 10 different advisory boards, committees and commissions. These volunteer positions begin in January 2013. Free Breakfast BootCamp for Retailers
This free three-session workshop will help you take your retail business to the next level. The series covers the science of bringing in merchandise, the art of attracting and retaining customers, and the steps behind the fun of every successful sale. The sessions are from 7:30 to 9:30 am on October 22, 23 and 25 at the Development Services Center, 385 Kimbark Street. Book Sale to Benefit Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Longmont Library will hold a book sale October 18-21 in the meeting rooms at the Longmont Public Library, 409 4th Avenue. The sale begins Thursday at 6 pm and ends Sunday at 4 pm and focuses on biographies and history books as well as all types of children’s books.
