Stop-N-Drop on Saturday
A Large Item Stop-N-Drop will be held from 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 30, at the Public Works Maintenance Facility, 375 Airport Road. Outdoor Warning System Test on Monday
The City’s Outdoor Emergency Warning System (OEWS) is being tested at 10 am on Monday, August 1. The system is tested monthly through August; this will be final test in 2011. Other than for testing, the system will be used only to notify the community when immediate action should be taken. If you hear the sirens and it is not the first Monday of the month at 10 am, seek shelter immediately and tune to local media for information.
Free "Business Plan Essentials" Workshop
In partnership with the Longmont Economic Gardening Initiative (LEGI), the Boulder Small Business Development Center is offering workshops in Longmont that are free to Longmont businesses. These workshops are approved business training programs for the City’s Business Start-up Grant Program. “Business Plan Essentials” will be held at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, August 9.
