Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on May 7
You’re invited to help Longmont celebrate Cinco de Mayo from noon to 7 pm on Saturday, May 7, at Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Avenue. Police Officer Memorial Service on May 13
Front Range Chaplains will host the 16th Annual Peace Officer Memorial Service at 1 pm on Friday, May 13, on the front steps of the Safety and Justice Center, 225 Kimbark Street. The service includes a 21-gun salute, and the public is invited to honor our fallen law enforcement brothers and sisters.

City Offers Residential Efficiency Matching Grant
The City of Longmont is offering matching grants of up to $500 to property owners of single family homes, duplexes and rental properties who implement qualified energy efficiency measures. The grant is valued at 50% of the cost of qualified measures, after rebates from the Governor’s Energy Office and Xcel Energy, up to $500 per property. Some measures installed at primary residences are also eligible for federal tax credits.

Volunteer for Affordable Housing Review Group
The City of Longmont is accepting applications for the Affordable Housing Technical Review Group. Members review proposals for affordable housing projects and make recommendations for funding to the Longmont Housing and Human Services Advisory Board. The group is seeking two members who are home builders or developers, lenders, real estate agents, or low-income residents or representatives of agencies for low-income residents. 2012 Human Services Funding Available
The City of Longmont is accepting proposals from nonprofit, nonsectarian human services agencies for 2012 City funding. Interested agencies can apply for funding from multiple sources, including the City, but you must register through the E-Community portal at www.unitedwayfoothills.org/eCommunity.php for access to the online application.
