Help Us Tell the World About Longmont

The City and its economic development partners have been working on a community brand. Please join us at one these meetings to contribute your ideas, from mild to wild, on ways we can tell the world about Longmont: Thursday, January 27, 9 to 10 am, at the Longmont Library, Room A, 409 4th Ave.; Friday, January 28, 2 to 3 pm, at the Longmont Library, Room A, 409 4th Ave.; Wednesday, February 2, from 6 to 7 pm, at the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center, 400 Quail Rd.; Thursday, February 17, from 6 to 7 pm, at the Safety & Justice Center Community Room, 225 Kimbark St. RSVP to the City Manager’s Office at 303-651-8601 or e-mail sandra.seader@ci.longmont.co.us.

No Coffee with Council This Month

Because there was a city council public forum last week there will be no Coffee with Council in January. The next Coffee with Council will be from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, February 26, at Red Frog Coffee, 15 Ken Pratt Blvd.

Senior Center Open House on Friday

The Longmont Senior Advisory Board will host an open house from 1 to 3 pm on Friday, January 21, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. There will be information booths, demonstrations, performances by our active seniors, and light refreshments. This is your chance to discover the multitude of activities enthusiastic older adults are enjoying at the Senior Center. For more information, call 303-651-8411.

Listen to Mayor Baum on 1060 AM

Hear Longmont Mayor Bryan L. Baum discuss local issues every Monday from 7 to 8 pm on “Longmont Town Radio” on radio station 1060 AM. If you can’t listen to the live broadcast, you can hear previous shows at www.radioconetwork.com/rss/longmontrss.xml.

Purchasing and Contracts Division Moving to Civic Center

On February 14, the City of Longmont's Purchasing & Contracts Division will relocate their offices from the Longmont Service Center on Sherman St. to the Civic Center at 350 Kimbark Street. The office will be located upstairs in the former Community Services area. E-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers will remain the same. Their office will be closed to business on Friday, February 11 to allow for the move.
