City Offices Closed on Thursday and Friday

The City is closed on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday November 27. As one component of balancing the 2009 budget, the City will be closed the day after Thanksgiving. This means that Longmont employees will have the day off without pay as a mandatory furlough day, a move that will save the City approximately $204,500 citywide, of which $130,900 will be from the general fund. The Longmont Ice Pavilion will be open for public skating from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and all public safety and 24/7 operations will not be affected.
