Permanent Sculptures | Art on the Move program | Upcoming Projects
LOOKING FOR 2012 SITES! The Art in Public PLaces Commission is reviewing sites for 2012 projects and we need your assistance! Next time you are driving/walking/biking through the City, what area(s) might be enhanced with some public artwork? Could be a park, greenway, public building or just about any city-owned site. Please submit your ideas no later than October 6 to be considered. Submit to AIPP Administrator. Be sure to include exact location, street, and be as specific as possible, as well as your name, email address and phone number (esepcially if you'd be interested in assisting with the selection of the artwork for that site)!
2011 Projects:
The Art in Public PLaces Commission has selected three projects for 2011. Check back for dates and calls to artists.
2010 Projects:
The Art in Public Places Commission has selected two new projects to initiate in 2010.
Status (12/10): Artist Charlotte Zink has been awarded this commission and installation is scheduled for April 2011.
March 2011 status: Please join us for a dedicationon April 23 at 9:00 AM just before the Mud Hen race.
Status (12/10): three finalists have been selected and notified for this project.
Status (3/11) Parker McDonald has been selected as the artist. A July installation is scheduled. Details to follow.

Want to get involved in selecting process of Public Art? selection panel application (open to Longmont residents only). For the Bicycle Rack project, please submit your application no later than January 17,2011.
