Electric and magnetic fields

Electricity is an essential part of our lives. It powers countless devices that make our lives safer, easier and interesting. While electricity is something we may take Electric transmission lines and tower for granted, some have wondered whether the electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) produced through generation, transmission and use of electricity might adversely affect our health. Numerous research studies and scientific reviews have been conducted to address the question.

LPC relies on the US Department of Energy's booklet, "EMF Questions & Answers" as it's resource for this subject.
