Paying your monthly utility bill
Your City of Longmont monthly utility bill includes your electric services. You have several options for paying your bill:
Pay with cash
City of Longmont Utility Billing is open during these hours to pay your bill in person:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
7:45 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday
Utility Billing is located in the Civic Center at Kimbark and 3rd Avenue.
Pay with a check
You can write a check at Utility Billing or other locations listed below or mail a check along with your utility bill.
Pay with your debit or credit card
You can pay your utility bill using your MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express debit or credit card either in person at Utility Billing, by calling Utility Billing during business hours (303.651.8664), or pay on line.
Automatic payment from your bank account
You can have your monthly utility bill automatically paid from your checking or savings account each month.
You will receive your monthly bill at least 10 days before your payment is deducted from account. This gives you time to call us if you have any questions on your bill. Your payment will be deducted on your due date.
Print and fill out the Authorization for Pre-arranged Utility Payments, attach a voided check and return it with your utility payment. (Please allow 30 days for processing). Or you can mail it to:

Sign up for Budget Billing
Budget Billing allows you to pay the same amount each month by averaging your last 12 monthly billing periods. Print and fill out the Budget Billing Plan Request, and return it with your next utility payment. Your form must be received at least 15 days prior to your next billing cycle for activation.
Your average monthly payment amount is calculated by adding your last 12 months' figures, dividing by 12, and then adding five percent of the average. The five percent is added to minimize the amount that you might owe at the end of your 12 month period.
Utility Billing will send you a letter with your monthly budget billing amount. Each year your amount is recalculated and could change if your average bill changed during that year. In order to remain on budget billing, your payment must be received by the due date each month.
