2010 Programs

The Longmont Public Library offers story times for ages birth through the age of six.

Monday

6:30 until 7:30 p.m.
Library Craft Room

Who: Children in Kindergarten to 5th grade
What: Reading to registered therapy dogs
This is a drop-in program; registration is NOT required. Provided by Paws 4 Responsibility.

February 8th, March 8th, April 12th, May 10th Afternoon Storytelling

3:30 until 4:30 p.m. Library Meeting Rooms

Enjoy some after school stories with our own Longmont Library Spellbinders. Perfect for ages 6 and up.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Lapsit, Toddler, and Pre-School Story times Sessions at 10:15 or 11:00

Lapsit:

For infants and children up to two years of age
One-on-one-with-an-adult is the key to this story time 20 minutes of short stories, lots of songs and nursery rhymes will be presented.

Toddler Story time:

For two and three year old children (with their caregiver)
The 20-minute Toddler Story time includes songs and finger plays as well as stories that are “just right” for this age group. Children should be ready to sit and participate with the story reader, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Preschool Story time:

For four and five year old children.
Preschool Story time is 30 minutes long, for children who are ready to sit by themselves and listen for a longer time than toddlers. Parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the story room.

There will be no storytimes during SVSD spring break week (March 29 – April 2)

Storytimes will take a break during the first weeks of Summer Reading Program sign up (June 1 – 11), storytimes will resume on Tuesday, June 15th.

Saturday

January 23rd, February 27th, March 20th, April 17th, May 15th Dogs Enjoy Afternoon Reading

1:00 - 2:00 pm

Children of all ages are invited to read to trained reading education assistance dogs. This is a drop-in program; no registration is necessary.
