OnLine Job Application Information

If you have entered your information in the system once, and have your user ID (your email address) and password, you can easily submit applications for other positions in the future.
When completing an application, read all instructions carefully and supply all requested information completely and correctly. All or some information supplied on your application may be verified through a background check. Making false statements, misrepresentations, or withholding facts may lead to rejection of the application or dismissal from subsequent employment.
POLICE RECRUIT APPLICANTS: If you are interested in positions with the Police Department, please visit the Police recruitment page at http://www.ci.longmont.co.us/police/geninfo/recruit.htm for additional information and requirements. All applicants must complete a City of Longmont application form packet which includes a Supplemental Police Officer Application with addendum questions.
Demonstration Information for New Users:
1.
View open job postings Select the Requisition Number link for the description of that position and links to "Apply for this Position" or "Retrieve Existing Draft for this Position".

2. Once a position has been selected, a complete job description will follow. At the end of this description there will be two choices.
- If you are a First Time User, Click on "Apply for this Position"
- For Returning Users, Click on "Retrieve Existing Draft for this Position/Requisition"

3. The next screen that you will see will provide you with some additional instructions for you to read prior to completing your online application.
If you are a returning user then you can apply with the "Last Submitted Application on File.

4. The next screen that you will see will ask you to decide how to continue.
Apply with a Brand New Application
Apply with the Last Submitted Application on File: If you choose this option, you will need th Email address and password that you provided the system when you submitted your last application.

5. Complete the Online Job Application. Be sure to fill out each of the REQUIRED * FIELDS.

It is important that you have an email address if you want save as a Draft.
6. Before submitting your application, make sure that you have answered the last question regarding whether you certify your statements made in this application.
You are given two options to Submit the application as a completed application or to save it as a draft and return later to complete it.

7. If you selected "Save as Draft and Complete Later" the draft of the application will be saved where you left off and you will be able to retrieve it and complete it later.



8. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Once submitted the application can not be modified.

9. CONFIRMATION PAGE / PRINTING YOUR APPLICATION:
After you submit your application, you will see a confirmation notice indicating that your application was submitted successfully.
On this same page, there will be a link that will provide you with an option to print the application.
IMPORTANT: This is your one and only opportunity to make a copy of what you submitted, so please be sure to print a copy for your records.
