Longmont Junior Golf

Overview

The City of Longmont Junior Golf Program will provide to area boys and girls a noncompetitive, enjoyable and affordable golfing experience with emphasis on instruction in the fundamentals of the game, rules, safety, etiquette, and care of the golf course under the supervision of PGA Golf Professionals. Youth must be between the ages of 5 and 17.

 

Junior Golf Camp

Camps are held at Sunset, Twin Peaks and Ute Creek Golf Courses. Each camp consists of two-hour lessons over two days. Although it is not required, golfers are encouraged to attend a camp before participating in the Junior Golf League. Junior golfers who previously attended camp are welcome to attend another camp to improve their skills. The instructor to student ratio will be a minimum of 1 to 4 and a maximum of 1 to 10.

Junior Golf League

League play will be held each Monday from June 15th through July 20th. All league play will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 10:00 a.m. Junior golfers must check in each Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the following locations:

Parents and juniors are strongly encouraged to attend the orientation session which will be held on June 15th at 8:00 a.m. at the appropriate golf course. League play will begin immediately following the orientation. All league participants will receive a golf shirt, ball marker, ball mark repair tool, tees, bagtag, rulebook and a complimentary nine-hole round of golf. A parent-child golf outing will be held at Sunset and Twin Peaks on July 27th at 8:00 a.m.

NewJunior Golf "Next Step"

The City of Longmont Golf Services is excited to add a new opportunity to the Junior Golf program.  The “Next Step” combination lesson and play will be offered this year at Twin Peaks Golf Course under the supervision of PGA Professional, Keith Martin.  If your junior has previously completed introductory camps and would like to keep improving under the instruction of a PGA Golf Professional, the “Next Step” is for them! 

 

Camp and League Registration

Registration for all camps and the league will begin on March 31st online and at all courses. The camp registration fee is $40 per junior. The league registration fee is $20 per junior and the green fee is $7 each day. All parents or guardians are required to complete a Program Participation Form at time of registration.
